LG will be the sole supplier of iWatch screens, reports suggest, with the news that the Korean company is purportedly priming two different–sized displays for Apple.
This latest line, which comes to us from tech-watchers at Navar in Korea, backs up previous rumours that LG will be the only company involved in making screens for Cupertino’s forthcoming smartwatch.
It’s believed LG’s screens offer the best flexibility and brightness without hampering battery life.
The report also claims Apple is asking for 1.3-inch and 1.5–inch screens. That tallies with other gossip about the iWatch.
Just last week, renowned analyst Ming Chi Kuo said that Tim Cook and co were aiming for a two–pronged attack on the smartwatch market.
The iWatch is due to launch in autumn. It’s believed to use low–powered Bluetooth to keep ticking along for longer, working in conjunction with iOS 8’s much–touted Healthbook app.
