The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, the rugged version of the Korean giant’s flagship phone, has starred in a new video. The clip hands over heaps of fresh details about this new variant of Samsung’s top-end handset.
Like the S4 Active, the kit in the video comes with mechanical keys down the bottom for navigating when your mitts are too dirty to stroke the touchscreen. It’s noticeably bulkier than its stablemate too, with a toughened exterior designed to withstand bumps and scrapes.
Interestingly, it seems Samsung is keeping some of the S5’s best features in this rugged edition, unlike last year’s S4 Active. That means a 16-megapixel camera and a Snapdragon 801 processor.
There’s no word on when the S5 Active will get an official nod. But with the Galaxy S5 Prime also due to be unveiled, surely we won’t have too long to wait for a Samsung event detailing these slick new variants.
