bbm for windows phone

BlackBerry has confirmed that it has begun the rollout of BBM for Windows Phone, meaning all major smartphone platforms now have access to the companies secure messaging service.

The Canadian company claims it has had, “...an incredible number of requests,” from Windows Phone users looking to use its tool.

Everything is much as you’ll find on BB 10, iOS and Android. That means a centralised contacts tab for individuals and groups, a chats page for seeing all your conversations in one place and a feeds tab for checking out the status of your contacts.

BlackBerry has also said it’s planning on bringing BBM Voice, BBM Channels and Glympse for location sharing too. Thos features are likely to land ‘in the months ahead’.

To snag the app you’ll need to sign up for the beta. However, a full launch is planned, so you may want to wait until any kinks have been ironed out.
