Nokia’s latest bid to take the fight to Android and Apple has gone on pre-order at Carphone Warehouse, ahead of its retail debut on July 17th.

From today, the Nokia Lumia 930 is available on Vodafone and O2 from £30.50 per month and no upfront charge. Carphone pledges that pre-orders received now will be despatched on the day of release.

Choose the entry-level £33 per month deal with Vodafone and you’ll get 300 minutes and 250MB of data per month, as well as unlimited texts.

For a limited time, this also includes £100 cashback, a free wireless speaker and wireless charger and a £20 Windows App Store voucher.

The cheapest O2 contract is £33 per month and also nabs you the aforesaid bundle of sweeteners. Allowances here are 500 minutes and 500MB of data per month, plus unlimited texts.

Powered by the latest 8.1 version of Windows Phone, the Lumia 930’s spec sheet standouts include a five-inch Full HD display with 441 ppi, 4G LTE support and a 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and ZEISS optics.

HD video recording comes as standard too, along with four high-performance microphones for surround-sound capture, 32GB of on board storage and a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
