We've had the iPhone 5S and 5C, now are you ready for the iPhone 6L?
According to a Chinese Apple rumour site, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 – the larger of the forthcoming iterations of Apple's next handset – will be called the iPhone 6L. Presumably the L will stand for "large".
The site also posted photos of what it claims are the display components for both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models of iPhone 6.
A bigger screen will, of course, require a bigger battery. And happily the report claims the bigger handset will feature a 2,915mAh battery, compared to the 4.7-inch version's 1,810mAh one.
The iPhone 6 is expected to launch on September 9th and to go on sale September 19th.
Along with a more curved design, the handset is expected to feature a robust sapphire screen – in some variants, anyway – and more powerful processor.
According to spy shots obtained by leaks expert Sonny Dickson (and published exclusively by uSwitch Tech), the handset is also thought to be tweaked for one-handed use.
That would be a stroke of genius – we're sure we're not alone in finding most modern mobiles too cumbersome to use one-handed.
