ipad air 2 components

Apple isn’t doing a great job at keeping a lid on leaks from its supply chain. With every part of the iPhone 6 seemingly already out there for dissection, now Tim Cook and co are having to contend with iPad Air 2 parts tipping up on the web too.

A series of internal components have been papped for the viewing pleasure of hardcore Apple fans. They include the iPad Air 2’s GPS antenna, Wi-Fi module and microphone.

There appears to be only minor changes between these and the internals from last year’s effort, suggesting things will stay much the same.

Recent rumours have suggested that Apple is looking to boost the iPad Air 2’s RAM to 2GB. A leak of the device’s rear shell has shown off plans for a larger speaker grille, cut out Apple logo and an all new gold paint job.

The iPad Air 2 is expected to land later in the autumn. It’s due to arrive alongside a new–look iPad mini and perhaps even Apple’s much–vaunted iWatch.
