Freshly unearthed snaps of a fully-assembled faceplate for the iPhone 6 appear to have rubber-stamped some of the rumours doing the rounds about the handset, ahead of its debut next month.

Initially published by a Taiwanese blog, before being brought to our attention by Apple Insider, the photos confirm that the next-gen iPhone will apparently feature skinnier bezels around the screen.

This change helps Apple incorporate a larger display with super-sizing the handset itself.

Also notable are cut-outs where the Touch ID-equipped home button will sit, as well as separate holes for the ear-speaker.

Alas, what’s not apparent is whether the screen will feature the super-robust sapphire blend of materials that has been a staple of the iPhone rumour-mill for months now.

Apple is set to launch the iPhone 6 on September 9th. As well as 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display options, the handset is set to feature a more rounded design, a bigger battery and an improved camera.
