Competition within the broadband market in the UK has been set alight today after UK Online cut the price of its uncapped LLU-based 512Kbps broadband ADSL package to just £9.99 per month.
The ISP also confirmed the imminent reduction of its unlimited two-megabyte service to £19.99 per month as well as its eight-megabyte service, currently the fastest home broadband service available in the UK, to just £29.99 per month.
The new cheap prices have been made possible through the use of Easynet's Local Loop Unbundling investment.
"LLU enables us to offer more innovative products than our competitors," explained the general manager of UK Online Chris Stening.
"Our unique eight megabyte service has led the way on speed and now we are leading the way on price."
In excess of 4.4 million homes nationwide will be able to benefit from the new cheapened high-speed broadband service.
