Broadband options increase but prices still falling

5 May 2005

There has never been a better time for homeowners in the UK to purchase broadband packages.

This is the recommendation coming from industry experts in the wake of yet more price cuts and the introduction of even better value broadband packages.

A whole series of suppliers in the UK have joined the price cut bandwagon in the recent few weeks with the latest being Zen Internet.

Zen announced plans today to reduce the cost of its services, allowing customers access to a two mbps service for the price of a normal one mbps connection.

Commercial manager at Zen Internet, Stephen Warburton commented: "We constantly review our pricing structure to ensure we are providing value for money in tune with market conditions."

Senior analyst at Jupiter, Ian Fogg, told ZDNet: "What we're seeing now is just the start of greater competition and that means we'll see more speed and more choice."
