French broadband service provider (ISP) Wanadoo has revealed plans to rename itself Orange, is changing its name to Orange, as part of extensive re-branding.
The French-owned ISP Wanadoo is owned by France Telecom, which also owns mobile network Orange.
Wanadoo's parent company said the re-branding was indicative of a more unified business identity.
Because of the change of name, in excess of two million UK Wanadoo customers may have to change their email addresses.
Of this, France Telecom said: "It is logical. . . although how and when it will happen we do not know."
It is hoped costs will be cut and the €200 million cost of re-branding got back, through savings attained by unifying its internet and mobile brand.
