Another ISP offers 8Mb broadband

16 March 2006

Another UK internet service provider (ISP) is offering users even higher speeds of surfing the net.

JJTEK Online is the latest ISP to enable users to upgrade to an 8Mb connection as part of its Broadband Max package.

Only users who have phone lines that can support the speed will be able to benefit from the new speedier service, however. The company says that as BT rolls out the improved service across the UK, the percentage of households who will have an 8Mb broadband service available to them is expected to increase "fairly quickly".

The previous maximum speed available from the company was 2Mb, but this has now been quadrupled despite the cost of the package remaining the same at £14.99 per month.

JJTEK Outline also announced a new Recommend A Friend scheme, which rewards customers who advise their acquaintances to sign a subscription with the company.

The recommending customer has £2 deducted from their monthly bill for every new subscriber they bring to the ISP.
