BT has launched a new service to help support the IT problems experienced by its broadband customers.
Its BT Home IT Advisor will give its customers a single "one stop shop" for advice from trained advisors about home networks and PCs.
An advisor will even be able to securely log on to a customer's computer to investigate the problem.
"People are increasingly using broadband in the home to help run their lives – with everything from online banking to keeping their homes secure," said Emma Sanderson, director of value added services for BT Retail.
"Therefore the need to keep everything running smoothly and trouble free is greater than ever before.
"Even when you've got the answer to a problem everyone knows how time consuming it can be to have to navigate your way through complex instructions so BT have made it even simpler with our remote engineer access," she added.
Customers can either pay a monthly fee for a permanent subscription, or pay for each time they use the service.
