BT launches Total Broadband service

21 June 2006

BT has launched a new broadband deal that offers ultra-fast connection speeds as well as free internet voice and video calls.

Customers of the BT Total Broadband package will also be able to go online outside of their house with a wireless connection provided by free BT Openzone wireless minutes.

Access to BT's latest broadband projects is also provided by the package, including its mobile service BT Fusion and the next generation TV service BT Vision, due to launch in the autumn.

"The broadband experience is about so much more than just having basic access to the internet.  Customers want their broadband to offer a range of exciting content and services as standard, without having to pay extra for these features," said Ian Livingston, chief executive of BT Retail.

"Customers will enjoy free voice and video calls, and with helpdesks they can trust and a suite of security software included, can have complete confidence when using the internet. In fact, Total Broadband includes products and services worth over £370 a year for free in its subscription price."
