New mobile broadband services are due to be launched by O2 at the end of this week, initially to those already signed up with the company.
As part of the deals available, consumers will be entitled to 3G broadband capabilities and a modem free of charge, the operator revealed.
Head of Customer Acquisitions at the broadband division of O2 Jonathan Earle claimed that good services will be opened up for customers.
"We're not going to be the cheapest, but we hope to bring a fantastic customer experience," he observed.
And the firm is currently attempting to enhance its overall 3G networks, hopefully resulting in faster access and speeds for the public, he added.
He also revealed that a business version of the technology will on offer by the end of 2008.
This week Tesco stated that it is to offer a new digital download service including music. Films will also be on offer.
