A church may come to the rescue for locals in one area of Wales experiencing poor broadband coverage, it has been revealed.
Telecomms Facilities (TFL), based in Pembrokeshire, has said that placing new transmitters on top of spires could lead to an alternative communication technique, reports the Western Mail.
Wireless techniques now may be the only way in which to eradicate problems in the country, asserted TFL.
"Despite BT's claim that over 99% of Wales is broadband enabled, there are still many hundreds of mostly rural communities throughout the country who are unable to access the internet," suggested Director Jonathan England.
He added that both residents and the churches - in the form of income -would see the benefits of the move.
Claims by Ofcom that broadband accessibility is better in rural areas than in more populated areas came in for criticism this week by the County Land & Business Association.
