Free laptop for Carphone customers

2 June 2008

Carphone Warehouse has announced that it is to give away a free laptop computer to consumers who purchase broadband deals.

From June 3rd, those who obtain these services from companies such as Orange, T-Mobile and the retailer itself, will be offered the items.

And those who are unhappy with the selection of six laptops put upfront as part of the drive by Carphone Warehouse can opt for improved models for a fee, it stated.

This is "very significant. This is only the start. We are doing with laptops and broadband what we did with mobile phones," New Business and Multi-Channel Director at the firm Andy Brem noted.

While the promotion will at first be available at about 100 stores following the launch, it is expected that more than 800 will facilitate the move later in the year.

In the past, the organisation has offered another free laptop deal, for customers signing up to the two-year AOL contract.
