Broadband customers in south Derbyshire are the latest victims of an unsatisfactory broadband service. A recent study of the broadband service in the region by South Derbyshire district council revealed that BT was not providing many local businesses with adequate coverage, the Burton Mail reports. The report, due to be considered on Wednesday, states that the council has received 121 negative case studies on the state of the broadband infrastructure in the area since June 13th. Concerns over coverage have now led to an investigation by council officers into any plans by BT to upgrade and develop their services. The report states that the issue of broadband in the area is now being "debated in central government" and "may lead to resolutions to infrastructure issues". Recently, H20 Networks announced that residents in Dundee will soon be able to benefit from broadband speeds of up to 100 Mbps. The company is using the city's sewer system to enable access to the next generation of broadband.
