A new contact has been given to Avanti Communications Group by the Scottish government to try and improve broadband in the country. The solutions have been designed in an attempt to offer the modern services in areas where they are difficult to obtain, reports ZDnet.co.uk. Enterprise Minister Jim Mather said that it is imperative in the modern era that everyone gets access to broadband. "I'm pleased that every single eligible household and business should now benefit from affordable broadband access over the coming months, giving business a boost and enhancing the lives of householders," he commented. He added that hindrances have been mapped out in the past and these will now look to be addressed. Vonage last week claimed that the internet is placing more power back into the hands of consumers and away from marketers.
