Internet service providers are under pressure from broadband customers to provide them with unlimited access, one expert has suggested.
The Founder and Editor of TorrentFreak.com said there is not yet a service to fulfil these needs, despite it being a key area for broadband subscribers.
"For the music industry this would mean that they have to come up with a plan where people can download and stream for a fixed price," he suggested.
With the average consumer now buying three or four CDs a year, music websites now have the opportunity to offer them more for their money through digital downloads, he added.
Virgin Media and Universal Music Group recently announced plans for the world's first unlimited music download subscription service, designed to change the way UK consumers buy and listen to music.
