A new short-term car insurance product has been launched by BUDGET, the firm has announced.
What's more, the temporary cover is available from £6 per day over the period it is taken out for.
The products - which are also available from most other UK car insurance providers - are generally purchased when the customer wishes to test-drive or borrow a vehicle.
Short-term car insurance can also be used when a customer lends his or her car to somebody else.
Managing director of BUDGET Insurance Matthew Gledhill said: "Many people at various times have needed a short-term policy, whether borrowing a friend's van to move house, or test-driving a car.
"But traditionally this kind of cover has been difficult to find when you need it…we're making the process simple and effective."
To this end, the car insurance provider is making the product primarily available through its website.
More generally, buying insurance online can lead to customer discounts from providers.
