A new road safety campaign has begun in Bedmond, Hertfordshire, in an effort to improve the dangerous nature of the roads there, news that may be of interest to those wanting to keep their car insurance premiums intact.
Neighbours have given support to the Church Hill Residents Against Speeding Harrassment programme, which is being chaired by Jan Smith, reports the Watford Observer.
Ms Hill offered her thanks to supporting locals and stated that a recent petition day was highly popular.
Furthermore, many of these people, she said, have been involved in road incidents and this is why they want conditions to improve.
"Others told of speeding vehicles making it virtually impossible to cross the road to the bus stop and older residents intimidated by the aggressive speed of lorries," she told the publication.
The campaigners want the speed limit in the area to be reduced as they believe this would have a positive impact.
Earlier this week, uSwitch.com revealed that drivers are being hit with extra fees when learning to drive, not taking into account their car insurance.
