Police in Chippenham have charged two teenagers in connection with a series of car thefts in the area, something that may interest those with car insurance premiums.
After a large investigation by the County Division of Wiltshire police, a 17-year-old male and 16-year-old male have been charged with car crimes, reports the Wiltshire Times & Chippenham News.
Both of the accused have been released by officers on bail conditions while more enquiries are made.
The Priority Crime Team jumped into action after the thievery episodes that occurred in March and February.
Richard Jones, Detective Constable, stated that a lot of effort has been put in by the force to try and stamp out such behaviour.
"We know how distressing car crime is to members of our local communities and we want to reassure them that we will use all the resources at our disposal to catch those responsible for such offences and bring them before the courts," he commented to the paper.
In related news, it was claimed this week that a mobile speed camera van operating in Ashton-in-Makerfield was parked illegally.
