In Verwood, Dorset, a local has begun a campaign after he said that drivers in the town are disregarding the speed limit, something that may concern those with motor insurance.
And the problem is not a recent one, suggested Michael Smith, as motorists have been acting irresponsibly neat to Virginia Close for a while, reports the Salisbury Journal.
He claimed that following contact with both the police station in the area and the Dorset Camera Safety Partnership, he has made little progress.
"The main problem seems to be when drivers pass the Black Moor Road traffic light junction - they then believe they are out of Verwood and no longer need to watch their speed," he told the Forest Journal.
Mr Smith suggested that in some instances drivers are hitting even 60 and 70 mph as they pass through the town, which could possibly be solved with the introduction of a speed camera.
Road safety figures in the Dumfries and Galloway area in Scotland have been twisted by drink drivers, police there noted recently.
