TalkTalk seeks to offer digital TV service
In order to deliver the digital TV service, TalkTalk will be enlisting the help of a special telecoms network constructed by Alcatel-Lucent.
A three-year deal has been signed by the two companies with the intention of being able to offer the network to customers at a reasonable cost.
"By enabling our network with Alcatel-Lucent Velocix infrastructure, we will be able to lead the market in digital delivery, further showcasing TalkTalk's leading innovation in the UK market," explained Max Alexander, TV & Media Director of TalkTalk.
One of the main technological advances of the past year has been the availability of 3D TV, with manufacturers such as Samsung among the first to offer the sets.
