Virgin Media adds HD channels
Films such as Slumdog Millionaire and Looking for Eric will be shown on Film4 HD, alongside independent movies and mainstream dramas.
Cindy Rose, Executive Director of Digital Entertainment at Virgin Media, said: "Channel 4 has a great track record in delivering innovative and compelling content and we're delighted to bring some of their very best films and most popular programmes to our customers in stunning HD."
She added that although extra content was being put in place, customers are able to access it with no added charge.
Digital TV viewers were recently informed that they would be offered more content for kids, as Virgin Media had come to an agreement with Cartoonito.
