New research from Sainsbury's Bank has suggested that a little financial spring cleaning including switching financial products such as credit cards could save consumers in the UK a small fortune.
But credit cards are not alone in this money saving discovery.
The report adds that a little time spent switching to industry-leading personal loans, mortgages and car insurance deals, could also all pay large financial dividends.
"Recent polls show that 88 per cent of consumers are planning to switch credit card providers this year, 84 per cent plan to take out a personal loan and 41 per cent plan to move house," commented financial expert Emma Butler.
"Adding up the potential savings for cards, loans, and mortgages above shows that consumers could save thousands of pounds by shopping around for financial products," she added.
Consumers are advised therefore to seize this opportunity and start switching now.
