Moneyfacts has issued a number of issues that consumers should be wary of when looking at credit cards.
The financial website has compiled a list of top ten credit card issues for consumers.
Factors consumers are told to look out for include balance transfer fees, minimum repayments and penalty fees.
In addition, direct debits, cash interest rates, cash withdrawal fees, order of repayments, interest free days, payment protection and balance transfer dates were also highlighted
