Halifax has announced the launch of a new credit card that boasts an attractive 0% offer on both balance transfer transactions and new purchases.
The One credit card will launch on July 10th and will give consumers the 0% interest rate for a nine-month term before reverting to a low rate of 9.9%.
People paying a more normal rate of 16.9% could save themselves an average £261 in their first year of owning the One card, Halifax said.
"Many providers will offer 0% on either balance transfers or purchases," said Ian Larkin of Halifax credit cards.
"We're offering customers both, coupled with a market leading typical APR. No other high street provider has such a strong overall offer."
Halifax Bank of Scotland saw the number of credit card accounts held by customers increase by a million last year for the fifth consecutive year.
