Consumers have been urged by Thomas Charles to live within a budget asp art of the bid to prevent large debts.
Director of the organisation James Falla urged people to make a chart of their outgoings to fully understand their financial situation.
If this measure is undertaken, he claimed, then savings might be made as customers have a greater idea of how much cash they have left after living expenses.
He noted that such money management is fairly simple, not "rocket science" and can help those who have already got into difficulty, possibly on credit cards.
Mr Falla warned that saving is an option that may have diminished the current debt levels seen in the UK.
"When it started they could have avoided getting into debt if they'd have had some savings behind them to use to tide themselves over," he commented.
YouGov recently revealed that 6% of consumers have had to take time off work over debt concerns.
