A new BT Payment Card Industry compliance solution has been instigated by the firm this week, it announced.
The company claimed that the introduction of the service will improve security for those making purchases via credit cards.
Various measures can be offered by BT, it said, such as monitoring and fresh technology because it has been certified as a Qualified Security Assessor by PCI Security Standards Council.
Global Head of Business Continuity, Security and Government Practice of BT Global services Ray Stanton observed that the move ought to make customers feel more secure as the threat of thieves looms large.
"BT has an exceptional reputation and global expertise in delivering secure business systems and our new PCI DSS offering can help customers protect their brand and reduce the risk of penalties due to being caught out by unscrupulous and professional criminals," he commented.
This week, an expert at CPP, Kelly D'Souza, stated that by simply following a few simple hints, people can lower the risk of credit card fraud.
