A new product from UreLife - a debit card - ought to eradicate people's debts on credit cards, the firm has claimed this week.
Spokesman at the organisation Mark Dalton suggested that it should lead to "sensible" management of cash because it encourages people to earn.
According to Mr Dalton, the sector is moving away from credit-based services and towards the supervision of existing finances.
He suggested that alternatives should aid consumers in their quest to be more grounded in their money spending.
"Increasingly people have been maxing out their credit cards and the prepay debit card is the ideal product for people who want to take full responsibility for their finances," he commented.
Moreover, he asserted, younger people will learn how to look after their cash before they get into all sorts of difficulty in terms of debts.
Features included on the prepay debit card include a photograph of its owner, plus their date of birth.
