A new credit card has been launched this week by American Express, called the Blue Sky Card.
The product gives consumers back one point for each pound spent, with these points then redeemable against matters connected to travelling such as cruises and train journeys.
And for every 4,000 points tallied on the Blue Sky item, American Express noted, consumers will be able to save £50 on purchases in relation to trips made.
Vice President of UK Credit Cards at American Express Tom Allder said that those who decide to take up the card will see the benefits.
"In today's economic climate, people should be looking to make their plastic work for them," he commented.
He added that there are no restrictions on the number of awards that can be gleaned via the product in terms of travel rewards.
American Express was founded in 1850 and has its headquarters in New York.
