A man from Cheshire is set to make a complaint after claiming that an ATM machine did not give him money, something that may be of interest to those with credit cards.
Shavington's John Kelly stated that he will he make contact with the Financial Ombudsman following the episode that saw him try and extract £300 from the machine in Nantwich, reports the Crewe Chronicle.
He remarked that he was going to go shopping with his wife but was unable to when the requested money was not available.
"I've now had five letters from Halifax in total and they say the machine at Sainsbury's was checked three times and there was no problem," he commented to the paper.
A spokesman at Halifax responded and argued that there were not reported problems with the cash machine in question.
This week, an ATM machine in Newcastle was tampered with by those looking to obtain personal information, police in the area said.
