UK consumers benefit from a wide range of credit cards to suit their needs, it is claimed.
Paul Rodford, head of policy at the UK Cards Association, states that deals change all the time in order for the products to remain competitive in the marketplace.
"There's always a wide range of interest rates, cashback schemes and balance transfer deals to choose from," he reveals.
Nonetheless, the expert claims that consumers need to select the right card for the way they intend to use it.
Searching using an online comparison site can help people make their decision.
Which? Money recently found that only eight companies still offer cashback cards - less than half of those available two years ago.
Furthermore, Debenhams Mastercard minimum cash withdrawal fees and credit card cash withdrawal charges have both doubled in the last year, while credit card rates have gone up by an average of 0.5 per cent.
