HSBC is set to revamp its Bank Account Plus account so customers can now earn six per cent interest on credit balances up to £2,500 for 12 months.
The product, which was first made available in June last year, offers around £1,000 worth of benefits to customers.
Included in the account conditions is ten per cent back on credit card interest paid by the customers annually, which is valued at around £30.
Also included is extensive worldwide family travel insurance valued at £180 and free global cash machine access valued at £9.
Joe Garner, HSBC head of personal financial services, said: "We're always looking to give our customers the best value, which is why we have enhanced our Plus package to provide more benefits on banking products and limit the added-value benefits to those that our customers really want and will use.
"We're also rewarding our existing Plus customers by automatically upgrading them to the new package so they benefit from even more 'value for money' from their account."
