NatWest has launched a mobile bank service for current account customers in south Wales.
The mobile van, which will be on the road from October 30th, will visit remote locations not currently served by a NatWest branch.
Customers will be able to complete a range of normal account services, including cashing cheques, paying in money, ordering foreign currency, settling bills and checking their balance.
Helen Page, NatWest marketing director, said: "There continues to be a need for greater access in remote and deprived areas and we are committed to improving services for people in these communities.
"The new mobile bank in south Wales will complement our strong traditional branch network in the area. It's our aim to deliver outstanding service to our customers and this is just one more way in which we will be able to do this."
The bank will run five days a week and cover the Swansea valley, the Vale of Neath, Ogmore and communities in the Rhymney Valley. The exact route is yet to be decided, but will be flexible and receptive to customer need.
Similar services are already running successfully in Cornwall and there are plans to introduce further routes in north Wales and Devon at a later date.
