Abbey student bank account offers celebrity master classes

1 June 2009

Students between the ages of 16 and 18 opting to open an Abbey student account could benefit from its student master classes.

The programme is designed to help out youngsters who have not yet chosen a career path, with top mentors on hand to guide a lucky few.

Gillian Almond, Manager for Bank Accounts at Abbey, revealed that "the master class programme has proved to be really successful for Alliance & Leicester's Premier 21 account customers" and expressed her delight at it being extended to others.

One of the available mentors is Danny Cipriani, who will host an event in July to inform students on what life is like being an England rugby player.

Abbey is one of the businesses set to be rebranded under the Santander name by the end of 2010.
