Arrival of next digital TV generation heralded

BitBand Technologies and Amino Communications have today progressed the digital television industry to a whole new level of advanced technical innovation.

The two firms have spurred the rapidly developing industry by announcing the successful completion of the integration between BitBand's Video On Demand solutions and Amino's Internet protocol TV set-top box.

The joint offering will enable telcos and service providers to offer advanced IPTV applications with the capability to include personalized service and targeted content offering based on individual subscriber viewing habits.

Yuval Sovinsky, EVP marketing and sales at BitBand heralded the development as a major step within the digital broadcasting industry.

He then added: "The successful integration of BitBand client into Amino set-top-box strengthens the appeal of our joint offering to telcos, providing them with an advantageous and differentiated IPTV solution."

Digital services provider Magnet Networks is deploying the combined product throughout the UK, including the first IPTV deployment in Ireland.
