A new digital TV product has been launched that will allow consumers to watch TV on the move whether it be on a mobile phone, PDA or laptop.
The TV Anywhere service from Hauppauge Digital is a compact product that can be also plugged into a home PC and turn the PC into a TV and digital video recorder.
After connection, the software then uses the home broadband connection to deliver both live TV and recordings through the internet connection. And the device's WiFi capability means the TV viewing can be accessed at home as well as on any mobile technology.
Yehia Oweiss, UK managing director of Hauppauge Digital, said: "Appointment TV is dying. People are recording more and more TV and watching what they want, when they want.
"Timeshifting was first introduced with the VCR, and later enhanced with the PVR. Placeshifting is the new frontier – watching recorded TV where you want it, and moving live TV out of the home."
