Tiscali plans Homechoice TV nationwide release

Tiscali UK is to roll out its telephony, broadband and digital television services on a national scale, it has been announced.

Homechoice is currently available to 45,000 customers in London and Stevenage - a town which is located just north of the capital.

And following Tiscali UK's integration with Networks International Ltd – the parent company of Homechoice – the company will release its internet television services on a national scale.

Mary Turner, Tiscali UK chief executive, announced the launch of the digital TV and video-on-demand services.

She said: "This agreement further underlines Tiscali's position as a leading investor and innovator in the UK market. This will put us in a strong position to offer our customers an exciting and compelling package of existing and next generation communication and entertainment services."

Following the integration, Tiscali UK will have more than 1.3 million DSL customers – 350,000 of which will be signed up to voice and broadband services.

Tiscali anticipates having 45% UK coverage by the end of 2006.
