Virgin Media has revealed it has increased its digital TV figures by 2,500 customers in recent months, despite its much-publicised row with Sky.
From April to June, Virgin has noted customer numbers have risen slightly -- good news for the company that has recently been in the headlines after a public row with broadcaster BSkyB.
Virgin had reportedly lost 40,000 customers in the wake of the dispute with the rival provider about payment for channels.
However Virgin claims that this 40,000 figure was actually far fewer people than the 100,000 analysts had expected to leave the digital TV service after channels such as Sky One were pulled from the customers' screens.
Virgin broadband customers are reportedly up by 51,000 people during the second quarter of the year, while mobile phone customers rose by 53,000 to 299,000.
Earlier this week Virgin revealed that it was opening up the bidding once again to sell the company.
The firm's net loss for April to June has fallen to £119 million from £196 million last year, with profits rising to £995 million from £884.3 million in 2006.
