Digital problem-solving 'takes too long'

2 June 2008

Many customers are unhappy with the digital television services offered to them and think it takes too long for problems to be sorted, uSwitch.com has suggested.

Head of Communications at uSwitch.com Steve Weller commented that it takes "longer" than expected for queries to be dealt with.

But it depends on the services that people have purchased whether or not they believe they are getting good value, he added.

"If people are looking for a good digital TV service that can help them, it's their spare time for them to relax and unwind," he commented, adding that people want quality at a time in which finances are being stretched.

He said that while a set-top box can be purchased for £20, if families have a number of these in the household then this can add up.

A recent report from uSwitch.com stated that six million people are not satisfied with digital television services.
