Some digital TV customers 'unhappy with service'

14 May 2009

Digital TV (DTV) providers have a number of unhappy customers, with a quarter saying they are not satisfied with the service they receive, it is believed.

Statistics compiled by uSwitch.com show 65% of customers believe they are getting value for money, with the average household spend on DTV standing at £228 per year.

"If fee-paying providers want to keep their customers, they have to convince them that their fees are justified. They can do this by providing first class customer service and a real sense of value for money," revealed Jason Glynn, Communications Expert at uSwitch.com.

Customer service is revealed as the main gripe for customers, with 52% saying they are satisfied with the level of support they receive. See the results of the uSwitch.com Digital TV Customer Satisfaction Report

Ofcom revealed in April that almost half of the UK's households now opt to pay for additional TV channels.
