A former grammar school teacher who now runs a renewable energy firm has declared that the soaring energy prices have encouraged consumers to seriously consider installing green energy products like solar panels.
Energy & Environment is a Chorlton based firm run by Tom Kennedy, which installs green energy products such as wind turbines and solar panels.
Mr Kennedy told the Manchester Evening News that his business is set to turn over around £400,000 this year and he believes that with consumers becoming more environmentally focused his profits will soar over the coming months.
"Solar panels and wind turbines are the energy source of the future. For consumers, once they have bought the product, they can then connect it to the National Grid and re-sell any surplus energy," he enthused.
