From the end of this month, npower will cut its electricity prices, it has been announced.
The provider is promising an 8% cut for its customers, which will take place as of March 31st.
Commenting on the move, Kevin Miles, Chief Executive Officer of npower retail, says: "Wholesale prices are still higher than in 2007 but we are determined to reduce prices for our electricity customers."
He adds that the cut follows reductions made at the end of last year for gas pre-payment customers, with the cuts now applicable for those using its electricity service.
Furthermore, Mr Miles says npower will continue to review its prices in order to give consumers the best value for money.
Last month, npower joined forces with Marks and Spencer to sign UK retail's biggest renewable energy contract.
