The Post Office's home phone service has enjoyed strong growth since it's launch at the beginning of the year, thanks to cheaper and simpler phone bills.
The one hundred thousandth customer has now signed up to HomePhone, one of around 1,000 who are signing up to the service every day.
According to the Post Office, HomePhone customers can enjoy an average call savings of 16 per cent, compared to BT Together Option 1.
Gordon Steele, executive director of sales and marketing at the Post Office, said: "Hitting the 100,000 mark so soon is a great achievement for all the people in the business.
"Post Office Home Phone has quickly established itself as one the fastest growing home telephone services in the industry! This is a true sign that we are the service of choice for customers in the residential telecoms market."
Chris Williams, telecoms spokesman at uSwitch.com, added: "Consumers are recognising the good deals out there and are actively switching because of them. The news that Post Office HomePhone has reached this milestone is great; it reflects a positive step in the right direction as consumer switching continues to grow."
Another reason for Home Phone's success has been its approach to billing, combining the line rental bill and call bill into one. Mr Williams highlighted this as a trend which is likely to catch on and result in a rise of customers switching provider.
Use uSwitch's impartial home telephone comparison service to compare suppliers and save an average £170 a year.
