Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) technology is soaring in popularity among people wanting to work and use their phone from home.
Research conducted by Imago Communications discovered that 86 per cent of those questioned felt that using VoIP technology was of "significant interest" to their company.
The study also found that 47 per cent of respondents saw the main advantage of VoIP as being that of enhanced mobility.
However, 69 per cent said cheaper phone calls and cost savings were the most important factor in adopting the technology.
