Internet service provider Plusnet has joined a growing list of companies to offer a home phone and broadband bundle deal.
Its package includes a broadband internet connection with a speed of up to 8Mb, as well as landline rental and some free calls for a total of £20.99 per month.
The deal will be available to all but a tiny proportion of the UK, as the company is not reliant on its own local loop unbundling equipment, which other companies have to install into BT phone exchanges before they can offer local customers their services.
"It's quickly becoming standard for broadband and telephone service to be bundled together, but a major barrier to take up has been poor nationwide coverage and off-putting long term contracts," said Neil Armstrong, PlusNet product development director.
"The UK consumer can now get access to a great service with the comfort of a one month term."
The £20.99 per month price applies to a combination of the company's Broadband PAYG Basic product with its Home Phone Anytime landline deal.
