118, the UK director enquiries service, has made a new appointment to the non executive board of directors.
Hugh Craen has been selected by the 118 chief executive officer onto the board as of September 2006 – it is the second non executive director appointment of the year.
118 was formed in 2005 and is based in Chelmsford as well as possessing offices in the US and India. The business incorporates many divisions including the well known directory enquiry service and also 118 telecoms, a firm which resells memorable phone numbers.
Daniel Corby, CEO and founder of the 118 group, said: "We are delighted that Hugh Craen has chosen to work with the group and will bring significant skills and talent to the board.
"It is our intention to float 118 group on AIM at some stage in the next 18 months and the appointment of Hugh to the board will no doubt help this exercise and help to underpin the foundations of the group as it prepares for some major expansion in 2006 and beyond."
