Bluetooth technology has long been restricted to the mobile phone arena but now Siemens is bringing the technology into consumers' home phones with the Gigaset SL565.
A sleek design comes as standard with this cordless phone, as well as a full colour screen complete with caller ID display, loud speakers and the addition of polyphonic ring tones.
But what makes this home phone special is the ISDN technology within it and its Bluetooth capabilities that will allow consumers to transfer information, like telephone contacts for example, between their phone and their PC.
It also means that consumers can use the phone hands-free without wearing a large and cumbersome wrap-around head and microphone set. The phone also has a vibracall setting to allow for discreet, ringer-less calls.
Priced around £120, the Gigaset SL565 is certain to be popular with those who work from home and techno-lovers alike and Siemens claims that with this latest model, "making phone calls has never been more beautiful".
